Floral Glitter Card

There’s nothing better than making and sending a handmade card to your best friend or loved one. When it’s made with glitter, Copic Markers and peel-off stickers it just makes the card a little extra special.
To make the patterned glitter papers simply take a piece of 6x6 Scor-Tape, peel off the brown backing and adhere the sticky side directly on top of the pattern paper. Burnish with your fingers and then peel up the protective covering to expose the sticky adhesive, which you will then coat with Elizabeth Craft Silk Micro Fine Glitter. Once your patterned paper is coated with glitter be sure to burnish the glitter with your fingers to make sure the glitter is secure on the pattern paper. I made two floral glitter papers, one bold floral and one light floral.
To make the floral blocks, peel off the sticker and adhere to the light floral glitter paper and burnish the sticker with your finger to make sure it is secure before you color.
To color one of the floral blocks, I colored the entire large flower with Copic Marer B00. Then I added B04 to the center section of the flower. Then I went back with the B00 marker and blended the dark color into the light color. Be sure to tap off your B00 marker to remove the darker color you just shaded. You will want to repeat this with one more floral block using the Copic B00 and B04 markers. Choose two more blocks and use the same technique using the Copic R30 and R37 Markers. Leaves were colored with Copic YG01 and G99 Markers. Fussy cut the four floral blocks.
To make the 5x7 card cut a piece of green paper 4 ¾ x 6 ¾ and adhere to the front of the card. Take the four floral blocks that you colored and adhere to the right side of the card front. Cut a piece of the bold floral glitter paper 2 ¾ x 5 and adhere to the left side of the card front. Cut a piece of light floral glitter paper 1 ½ x 2 ¾ and adhere on the bottom left of the card front. Add a green oval scallop and sentiment to the top of the light floral glitter paper. Accent flower centers with small pearls. Add a piece of sheer ribbon to the left side of the card accented with a green baker twine bow.
